Here is a picture of Daisy in a duel against Matt.(The two were CPUs, I set Daisy's Difficulty Level to 7, a good mid-tier strength level that matches Mario's Level), while I set Matt's Difficulty Level to 9, due to Matt being overpowered).
You do not have to believe me, but in this replay, Matt defeated Daisy, (despite Daisy giving Matt a good fight).
Realistically, Matt in my Mario/Crossover Fanfic would never want to fight or hit a lady, (unless he needs to protect himself from any female character that is more powerful than him and is threatening his life).
(Remember, in real life, boys & men should not hit girls & women), it's only aloud in videogames.
