I'm always fascinated by the animals found in the ocean, there are so many strange and seemingly alien creatures that live down in the depths of the sea. I found out about this spotted eagle ray and wanted to try working on inking skills. It's always easier when the subject matter tends towards blacks and whites anyways. 🤭

Lessons Learned: 1) Inner diameter of ink circles are smaller than they look once filled in with black all around, 2) Brushstroke direction is still important even if it looks like I'm just filling it all in.
