I uploaded it using DA Eclipse, which doesn't have the fine grained categories anymore.
I put it in the Original Art -> Traditional category there, and because of some reason deviant art translates it into Manga & Anime on the old site. Really weird

Not really. I've been told that changes are coming since WIX bought the site. I've had problems myself and I always advise other deviants when their art appears in strange categories. I assume it's glitches and incompetence and not a form of shadowbanning. (Maybe "eclipse" is code for "shadowbanning".)
For example, politically conservative authors often find their books in the cooking section of big bookstores. That's like relegating some art to the Manga and Anime category. Anyone looking for your kind of art would never find it. Not banning, but shadowbanning.
