A well done illustration. The colors complement each other very well, i like how the are more alive and contrasted ahead and more desaturated behind, and the textures the textures are very good.

You don't really need to study in a school to learn that stuff, there is tons of resources online nowadays. I mean, I'm studying but I haven't really learned anything concerning painting in my school, only lifedrawing and you probably can find model drawing courses only, so maybe attend that kind of thing.
Just draw lots from life, photos, read stuff, work on basics. Anatomy, light, color, perspective, composition, that kind of stuff. Also, when you are starting a study of an image, just focus on one thing at a time. Good way to practice light or color, is to take a photo or screenshot you like, and try to copy that without colorpicking from the image. I learned lots doing that.
You want to draw from imagination and life/photos constantly, both are important to keep up but at this point it's more important to get your base knowledge and skill in shape. Practice how things work in real world, then you can apply that to your own work too.
