Finally I get to upload this absolutely sweet and precious guy! Say hello to Spike, ThatStupidDeer 's real life horse.
It's always an absolute honour to portray real life pets, and I was so happy to be trusted with ThatStupidDeer 's boy! This guy is one of my more recent works, and I am very happy about how he turned out.
I feel like in this painting I managed to balance the amount of detail and rendering just right for me to like it, and for what I want this style to be, as it's been rather difficult to not get carried away (and then stressed)
with the rendering of the etudes. Spike is a Quarter Horse, and it was fun to try and capture the breed in this style! How well did I do?

On a different note, allow me to drop a little bit of sentiment and honour the description format I've been using for so, so so many years.
This is the last deviation I am uploading using this description, and after Eclipse rolls out, it will be a time to come up with a new one.
It may sound silly to some of you, and I can't even argue, I think it is a bit silly to mention, but it's genuniely something I am going to miss with the new design,
and I only hope that some day we will be given back the ability to create neat descriptions again.Art © Chistokrovka
