Started off as a speedpaint/photo practice but ended up changing it quite a bit with my own style and colours.Done in Krita, a painting software i recently discovered. It's a bit buggy but still pretty great for painting (as an alternative for photoshop for example), so i'd recommend checking it out!

Beautiful picture! I really wish I understood how to get that look with the brushes in krita. I'm still working at figuring it out XD.

If it helps i think i mostly used the brushes named "basic_tip_default" and "fill_circle", and painted quite roughly with different opacities and sizes of the brushes.

Wow great job, especially with the hair! May I ask how you find Krita to be buggy?

Thank you! It has frozen on me a couple times (though quite rarely) and sometimes brushes stop working, or similar dysfunctions.Β
I haven't used it enough yet to have a very strong opinion on it, but it just didn't feel as "smooth" as other programmes. It is still very good though! Just requires a bit more patience, for me at least.Β

i drew this over two days so it was a few hours per day
