Description     Here's my second try at semirealistic cats, featuring Firestar. Just ignore the jaw I fucked up. According to me, a random person who just likes cats, he's a special shade of ginger, like this very bright, flaming highlighter orange color that has never been seen in clan cats before. He also has thick, pointed, jagged stripes that look like fire from a distance, a lighter, almost golden underside, and a short ruff around his neck and rump that really adds to the fiery appearance. I really like to think that even the forehead stripes look like a little flame, because he's the chosen one, therefore must look as thematically appropriate as genetics allow goddamnit. To finish it off, he's got this cute little ivory heart centered on his chest because again, he has to look the part.

Unrelated to his fur, I always see Firestar as fairly large, not ThunderClan large for sure, just a little above average for a tom his age, and slender, even after years of living as a battle hardened leader. Even then, he's still small by ThunderClan standards; Graystripe towers over him, and he's not even that large according to his fellow ThunderClanners. He also a variety of other features that make him stand out from the rest of ThunderClan, even if one was colorblind; a longer thinner tail, smaller paws, larger tuftless ears, a less top-heavy build, a smaller muzzle more similar to the average ThunderClan molly, and longer thinner legs. His face does not share the distinctive squareish heart shape of blood ThunderClanners, where the face is bulky and broad and the muzzle big and boxy, and instead it's more of an inverse pear with a curved jawline, high-set ears, and a smaller, tapered snout. His eyes are proportionally larger than in blood ThunderClanners, and it's more almond shaped instead of the teardrop shape characteristic of ThunderClan eyes.

Also, the flame-like stripes, ruff, and heart mark show up in his relatives a lot; the most obvious example is Sparkpelt, but Squirrelflight, Lionblaze, Bristlefrost, Myrtlepaw, and to a lesser extent Flamepaw all have these features as well, to say nothing of the sheer number of cats who have at least two of those features.

On another note, I'm really proud of how I did the eyes. They're so pretty...
