For the past year and a bit over I've been playing DnD since a good friend of mine happened to ask if I'd like to join a campaign he was about to run.
Life hasn't been the same after since. Just give me at least a weekly dose of DnD and nobody gets hurt.

Clink is my character in that campaign, and is a bit bland personality-wise as I had NO IDEA what I'm doing and how things work, so it seemed like a good option. Now I cry. But for real, they've developed as a character anyway, being the pokerface of the party (and having way too much of self-confidence in any situation), and staying in the background until action is needed. It anyway fits Clink's class and alignment rather well because our party turned out to be one that refuses to kill any NPCs unless it's absolutely a must - and if it's a must, Clink doesn't have an issue with that while their friends are a bit more sentimental about it. (And please don't even ask how many NPCs we've actually befriended, starting from bandits and going as far as to hostile dragons...)
Though, Clink also has a mischievous and humorous side to them, and unless it was about life and death, you can't assume to get anything serious out from their beak. Though then you're in trouble if you happen to fool them especially in anything that involves money. Money is business they take with extreme seriousness. The same goes for their cape. Touch it and you have a life-long enemy.
Clink also has a grudge against tentacles and sprout potatoes. Meanwhile they seem to like beer while throwing terrible constitution saves.
They also managed to scare a party of Bard Kenkus so badly that they were able to take their Axe Beak mount with them. Clink named it as Kirvesnaama (Axeface).
ALSO they apparently managed to win a gamble, and got themself a Llama mount. Try to guess what's its name... (Yep it's Draamalaama / Dramallama)
It's still unknown how well Kirvesnaama and Draamalaama get along. Maybe we'll find out soon.

Clink basically became an adventurer due to their "master" disappearing (a wizard to whom they worked for) and somebody stealing their cape (which they actually got from the wizard I just mentioned) - and Clink wanted to get the cape back. While leaving the wizard's place, his stepdaughter (a Dragonborn Wizard) accompanied Clink, and while heading to the town Clink had tracked the thief to reside in, they met a Firbolg Cleric who joined them on their travel. Later they figured the person stealing Clink's cape being a sheriff in the small town they ended up in, and that there was a dragon terrorizing the area, and something needed to be done. Eventually, after a rough path, the party managed to get rid of the apparently incapable sheriff and dealt with the dragon - by befriending it - of course - as the creature seemed pathetic enough that the party didn't feel too good about the idea of killing it. And as a thanks the party was nominated as the new sheriff's in the town. As a Rogue, Clink found that rather confusing but also hilarious.

Meanwhile the party also had - and still have - some troubles with the worshipers of the Storm Lord Talos, and has encountered both battles and attempts of allying up with them. The latter have been disastrous, and Clink personally thinks it would be good to get rid of any Talossans ending up on their way, but due to Gota the Firbolg having friends among them, it's been a clash. So meanwhile Clink concentrates on taunting Talos itself and ends up being a walking lightning conductor.
And if Talossans weren't tricky enough, now there's vampires and undeads walking about, and the party has to deal with two forces who'd like to take over the town they are now protecting. And due to the vampires managing to brainwash an ancient dragon on their side, the party is pretty sure this was it.
Lets see if taunting the undead and ancient dragons is efficient or only gets Clink killed.

And yes, having played for a year and having ended up in a situation where TPK is really an option, it's great to finally draw a reference for your character.

Our DM drew a piece featuring Clink and Kirvesnaama, so please check it ooouuuuut: Clink the Potato Slayer

Edit: We're done with the campaign after nearly 2 years: Our party survived the swarm of zombies and undead walking about, managed to save the "brainwashed" ancient dragon and lock the ghost of the dracolich that actually possessed the ancient dragon in a crypt by sinking the crypt into the lake it lied beneath.
In the after party we held, Clink met a mysterious elf who seemed to be willing to do a patron deal with Clink - and Clink, who had no idea what was going on, actually agreed ("we only live once, lol") and ended up being a follower of Corellon, granting them afterlife in Arvandor, the place Clink longed the most.
(Long story short, our party ended up returning the remains of an Eladrin to Arvandor because our DM kindly allowed our party to solve an issue with a ghostly Eladrin non-violently. After a bit of the usual chaos our party ended up in, we managed to impress the residents of Arvandor, apparently catching the attention of the Protector. When the residents of Arvador agreed to show us how to get back to the Material Plane, they adviced us to hold tightly of the thought why we would want to return to a life with pain, hunger and feeling cold. While the other party members managed to cling to the thought and fear of a possible oncoming war affecting the people they held dear, Clink, obviously, started to regret the decision of returning and was stuck with the never easing longing to Arvandor's greatness.)
