I used a combination of salt and splatter-painting to create the texture of the background in this painting. I really pushed myself to experiment and be bold with my color choices. I like how the background turned out on this painting, even though it doesn't look natural at all. To me it looks like the falcon is in space, or is powering up some rocket boosters. I needed to title it something serious for my portfolio, but it my head this painting is playfully titled "Millennium Falcon"
