Was it fun painting such big portions of warm and cold? Maybe it isn't as fun for most who paint often
Idk I just look at this and it makes me want to do something with sectioned palettes like this

it was actually kinda torturous to paint such large flat areas because I was struggling to make them interesting on their own while still working toward the entire composition's goal. so i decided to do slight gradients and flourished brushstrokes to keep it interesting and that actually was fun, cathartic even. definitely give it a try tho! it is helpful study for breaking images down to the simplest forms

This painting (be it oil or tempera or acrylic) stands out for me because
ย of its beautiful design ~ the small thumbnails, if well-designed, really suck me in.
This one is special, and I believe one of your best, in my humble opinion.
Good luck with your schooling!

thank you so much! I agree, the image must read from afar/thumbnail. thats the eye catch, adding details is fun but useless if the painting isn't striking as a whole.ย

The light and soft shadows in this are gorgeous. This really has a lot of feeling in it--it has the sense of a breath held before something important is said. Wonderful work!

Oh, thanks so much! It's really all in the way you painted it, though.

atmospheric effects are amazing - is it oil or watercolour?

thanks! I love to include atmospheric perspective in anything I can. This is an oil painting, 15x24 inches.
