A photo is definitely personal in how it's perceived. And it's weird that yours basically expressed what my own hopes for the future are. It's everything serene, beautiful, and heavenly.
I'm definitely not trying to be poetic, nor am I the type. But I loved this photo that much!

I have a question. I just got a program called Photo Explosion and I really need practice with it but I have edited all the photos I possibly could of mine. These old shacks always evoke stuff wonderful images of adventure and exploration. They are endlessly fascinating to me and always have such a lot of character. It's great to see them and think of the history surrounding them. Great stuff.

many people would have thought the same. I hav ebeen working on a process for the last number of months that gives detail similar to HDR but without the weird colour and visual effects. I just posted a print to my other gallery [link] that I will be using as part of my journal entry over the next few weeks trying to explain the process. (I use a separate gallery for this kind of stuff, because I don't want to attract

That is a house with some serious history and stories to tell. I love the colors of the rustic, weather worn logs contrasted with the bright colors of the foliage. I'm also a big fan of how the wood on the roof picks up the orange hue from the bushes in the background. Can't say anything for this technically (might have told you already that I'm useless with a camera) but the artistry in the lighting and colors is brilliant!

this was one of those images that took a great deal of time and thought to process. The colours and detail were there in the RAW image, but getting them to come out without destroying detail was a challenge.

I think life was pretty raw back in the late 1800's, people lived far closer to the edge of existence than we do now.
