my online friends GaySporks (blue haired tiger) and SCHM0REZ (brown dog with colorful shirt) finally met IRL at Anthrocon this year along with their partners after having known eachother since 2015 and we had a blast!

Sporks and their partner Aura (far right) travelled around 11 hours by car, Smores and their partner Nate (far left) travelled from Canada into the states for the first time in around 7-8 hours, and myself (in the middle) had a nightmare of travelling..

I was meant to get there in around 17 hours by train including a layover, however.. my first train in my hometown didn't show up for 6 hours. My connecting train had already left by the time I got to the next city, and I was informed I'd have to wait until 6pm the next day to get on it... which is a long day of waiting and missing the first day of the con. I decided to get bus tickets for that night to get there in the morning the next day, but my bus was late by 4 hours! (This means I would miss my 3 other connected buses as well and I'd be stranded again if I went on it..)

I was alone in a big city for the first time in my life at 1am and everyone had left by the 4th hour of waiting to get a hotel. I did the same, and ended up having to pay a big sum of money to do so after rejecting my first hotel situation offered by the train service (dumb decision, i know..)
but after all of this, I had gotten on the train the next day at 6pm, then I got to Pittsburgh by 5am on the 30th (with no sleep!! ) , and I finally met them at the station!!
I am definitely driving next time...

My con experience was amazing, and I felt comfortable surrounded by everyone there despite not knowing them, compared to crowds I've been in before.. everyone we met was so nice, and I've never been surrounded by my closest friends or so many people with similar interests and lots of love to share in real life
it was really surreal also seeing people I've seen online in suit for many years, and experiencing events that I've only watched through a screen
We plan to go every year now, and I did take some footage on a cheap camcorder and my phone that I'll be uploading eventually on my Youtube channel "whitedoesthings"
Also.. none of us had suits besides Smores (of their character Rose) lol
Sporks, their partner Aura, and I do plan to get a partial for next year, we'll see how it goes!!

Overall... definitely a highlight of my life despite the mess it was to get there!

Once I get a suit I'll definitely post pics here and I'd happily meet up with any of you guys that follow me that also go to AC !!
