"And where do you think your going?"

"Just for a little trip," Sarah quipped at her mother.

"Mmhm," Elanor stared down at her daughter who was rapidly shoving various items of clothing into a suitcase. "And where is this trip to?" she queried.

"Just to Canada, not any where super grand... and I wont be gone for long. Just a few days." Sarah smiled up at her mother from her spot on the bed packing. She didn't want to make it seem like a big deal, she wasn't sure how her mum would react to her wanting to buy another horse. She already had plenty, but if she just turned up with one... well, she knew Elanor couldn't say no.

"Canada? Its going to be freezing this time of year, I know you hate the cold, what it this for?" Elanor could see through her daughter, especially when she was going to a near freezing location while it was warm and sunny in Aus. This was about a horse.

"Mmhm," The daughter sighed back, "I thought I might... change it up a bit. Take a little vacation while Finley's off for a bit." Her trusty stallion had stud duties, then he was getting a week off to chill before they started up their showing again. Next stop Shark Week.

"And no horses involved?" Elanor prodded

"Nope"

"You sure?"

"Maybe," Sarah couldn't look her mother in the eyes.

"Sure, sure, what breed this time?" If her daughter was gong to look at a horse Elanor at least wanted to know the next breed to possibly be added to their vast collection at CSS.

"He's a Canadian-Donstrupper , stallion" Sarah pulled up the auction information for the horse in question, S133 Solstice d'automne .

"Another appaloosa or two wouldn't hurt to brighten up the stables," Elanor replied after scrolling through the ad, he was a handsome boy with bold colour, sure to draw attention in the ring.

"Or two?" Her daughter had known her train of thought for too long to not mist the implication. Sarah sighed, "Your coming with me to look at one too aren't you?

"Well, how could a miss the opportunity to look at some beautiful horses? Besides, we have enough room to welcome another." It was true, despite the rapid incline of horses over the past months the stud still had plenty of empty stables and paddocks. As well as more riders and grooms ready to jump onto the CSS team.

"The flight leaves in an hour, pack something warm, its going to be cold."

Elanor did not pack something warm.

"Mum! I told you it was going to be cold, what were you thinking?" Sarah yelled at her mother, exasperated.

"All my long sleeves were in the back of the wardrobe, Ok? I only had my summer stuff ready to grab!" Elanor wouldn't take it. At least she was here and not making everyone late. And she brought a jumper too.

"When your arms freeze off its not my fault." Sarah stormed off towards one of Mercury Stables large arenas to find one of the coordinators. She was eager to see the stallion she had been eyeing off on her phone.
