Just take more time over your work, pay great attention to what your drawing and you will get there.. It wasn't that long ago I was in your shoes, and I saw some amazing works which inspired me.. before long I was producing some much better quality images and impressing myself even. you will be surprised by how quickly you could advance.. just keep at it, with every minute you have available.. I used to take a sketch pad and pencils to work, I was forever in trouble for it but in the long run, it paid off i think

Course it paid off! I bet if you were to compare some of your earlier works you'd see a difference, it's what i do so i know i'm improving. I might take up your sketch pad idea, thanks for the advice

I have to say I'm astonished. I'd personally never have the patience/will to accomplish anything similar to this (at least not at the moment, as I feel very lazy), even though I am very much into architecture..
You have every reason to be satisfied with this.

Oh wow! This must have taken a very long time to draw, I mean with all the details and stuff. You did amazing on this drawing too, as in all your other drawings in your gallery. This one looks really realistic, and the house and the garden is so beautiful^^

great but im etching to know how you did the bushes and trees with huge amounts of detail??

well I wanted to put more into them to be honest but simply didnt have the time. The foliage and trees were built up from stippling the darker areas first with a 5b pencil then the highlight areas sparsely stippled with a 2h. Then I just built up the gradient in between with a variation of h's and b's, paying close attention to the shapes in the trees from the photo. Hope this helps
