Ah, but you see, it is hard for some of us to believe it's humanly possible that you took such time and care in making every minute scratch to create this wonderful piece. When I first saw it, I thought it was pen and ink.

I'm actually planning an 11X14 scratchboard piece. @_@ I can't imagine making all those tiny marks in such a huge 'canvas'.

Gorgeous! I always wondered what scratchboard is. I've seen many great works such as this one done on scratchboard.

Scratchboard is a surface, usually paper or masonite, covered in a thin layer of white clay and then a thin layer of black ink. You scratch through the black ink to reveal the white clay underneath, thus creating white marks.
