Description Jason Cragg was an everyday, sort of mediocre radio jock. But then, because comics are kind of stupid, he used a radioactive microphone. No, really. So because of the aforementioned stupidity, he got super powers. Namely, he could essentially mind control anyone who could hear his voice. His now radioactive vocal cords made anyone unlucky enough to hear him, believe his every word.

Instead of just becoming rich and famous by subtly using his powers, he instead decided it would be cool to become a supervillain. His first attempt was trying run Ant-Man...ANT-MAN...out of town by convinced anyone that would listen that Ant-Man was himself a crook. Hank Pam, being more crazy than stupid, made Cragg reverse his mesmerism of the crowds by having ants hold him at gunpoint. Then he gave Cragg laryngitis, thereby de-powering him, by rubbing germs on his microphone. He then got beaten up by the crowd and run out of town. Can't make this stuff up, folks...

Anyway, years later Cragg, calling himself The Voice, resurfaced and faced off against the West Coast Avengers (who the now Ant-Man-less Hank Pam had joined). After signing up with some other wacky former Ant-Man enemies, he had his powers restored by Hungarian scientists, who also gave him groovy shoulder-mounted speakers to expand his power's radius. Hank defeated him again, of course.

In exchange for being broken out of the supervillain prison, The Vault, Cragg agreed to work for the Red Skull. He faced off against Captain America and his allies many times, usually as a member of The Skeleton Crew, a team of Skull's top lieutenants. Well, his top lieutenants and this ridiculous hi-fi chonky boy.
