finally gets to post oc artquick ref thingie for saphira , i need to make a full reference for her eventually but this will do for now lmao
just rly needed a scar guide for her.....can u believe this oc has never had an actual reference sheet even though
i've had her for 13 god damn years lmfao
her colors kinda clash but it's all good. it's fine. she's terrible and i love her. my stupid neopet
she usually has the eye magic leaking out but i wanted to show what her eye color is supposed to look like without it
her little glove gem is supposed to help her maintain it but it doesn't work so good because she wouldn't practice it !! a stupid !!
i kind of want to bring her gatomon tail ring back into her design to balance out that yellow beak coloring hmm
i love furries that wear shoes that have the toes cut out which would just defeat the entire purpose of shoes being to protect
the feet LMFAO it's great. she has aesthetic shoes

AAA honestly i. don't even know anymore, omg, in her original plotline that
i barely ever fleshed out it was her ~evil brother~ in the ~final battle~ but
that plot kinda got...scrapped because was. like. 11 lmao and it was a neopets
story but now she just has no plot because i can't think of one for the life of me
that keeps the Important Element Aspects of her character while also not being...
garbage so she just kinda floats in the void for the rest of eternity LMAO i'll
think of one eventually and i do have something vaguely formed but fleshed out stories and
plots that aren't character development are Not my speciality

YEAH i'm trying to work one out with my gf but it's So Hard because
this character essentially had..two plots going on? the ~past~ and then
the ~future~ plot lol, she was a disaster but i love her so much
yeah...all of my characters/my gfs characters kinda just exist in this slice
of life sitcom style plot where there's no...big adventures or anything, they
just...kinda exist as people living their lives doing normal people things
(while also being monsters lmao but, y'feel) which i feel is really good for
my character development skills but for actual storytelling...nnnot so much lol

And man that's awesome! I'm always weak for casual monsters and things just living their lives LOL. It's definitely great for development! I'm in the same boat tho and have a hard time with proper stories in those settings, despite how free and fun they are... I guess it just takes a bit more effort than I'd like to put in hah,¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (I guess I cheat cuz most of my characters live in a more medieval-fantasy world so I can whip up plots or just have some casual, fluffy fun... sobs)

Ah still, all that matters is that you have fun but aye that's just me! Just makes things a little tricky in some other ways, is all. I guess for me it's tougher to make story/plot in modern setting cuz I have to rely more on character-based conflict above anything else, and I feel silly creating "villains" so to speak that just work at an office or something, and exist solely to be a jerk in this kind of world. BUT that's just personal stuff on my end tho lmao...

actually have any "bad guy" characters, the majority of our character
conflict is...based on their own issues and how they deal with them haha, i'm
not very good at asshole characters tbh, even my jerk faces are actually good
people who just have complications lmao idk how to write mean people
