It was kind of a strike o luck. I was trying to focus on a lonely flower when the auto focus "jittered" and I noticed how good this would look, so I moved a bit to get the flower out of the picture and presto.

I really like that the focus is down on the ground and not the background. You've managed to put it on the edge and not the actual foreground, which gives it a sense of depth. The lighting is so warm, as well. Makes me want to go mountain hiking. (:
