I love the way the petals seem to pull me in to the centre of the flower.
The black and white is a nice touch, nothing to distract and draw attention away from the subject.
Th focus is amazing, picking up on the tiny specks of colour through the petals.
I like that you didn't feel the need to include the whole flower in your photo, and only showed what you wanted us to see. The centre of the flower is shaded very nicely.
It is as the title suggests, very stark. But done beautifully so.
A very nice photo.
