First Kingfisher I saw in the Wild was in Alexandria, LA ...
There was this drainage canal that always had water & he was up on a telephone pole looking down into the water.
After about 30 minutes he dove down & speared a fish with his beak & flew back to the telephone pole. He flipped his head & the fish came off his beak & he caught it in his beak ! ! !
I was Amazed at his poweress ! ! !
