What's really surprising about this picture is that it is in watercolors. Props to you, Rainbow! And thank you 7tails for commissioning this. I rarely see watercolor pictures of this caliber.

Seeing as how this was made as a gift for me, I suppose it's OK for me to upload it. But if anyone thinks I really shouldn't, let me know so I can take it down.

While it may seem to be Ash right there, that's really Ashton. And of course, there is his bride and first child. You know their names by now.

Of Ashton's eight servants, Ruby was the youngest and most naive. She originated from the Far East and never developed the trademark spikes on her chest and hands that Lucario are known for, leading to her fellow Lucario to look down upon her as she sailed the seas aboard a merchant's vessel. Her name, past, and appearance was eerily similar to the Lucario who would become the lover to Ash Ketchum, who was descended from her master. Ruby initially had very low self-esteem when Ashton took her into his home, but his care and gentle handling of her steadily turned Ruby into the bright and cheerful lass she became known for. She became an apprentice maid and performed her duties diligently and was always respectful to her superiors, addressing them with "Lord" or "Lady" before speaking their names.

At first, Ruby adored Ashton like a little sister as he referred to all of his servants like sisters. But it was on the night when she was abducted by the extremist group known as the Black Wing. Her inner feelings for Ashton blossomed into love when she thought that he had perished when he lost consciousness after being smashed by the giant Dragonite hat was under the leader's, Lance, control. She continued to hide her feelings for Ashton, knowing that it was a forbidden love, after they returned home once Lance had been dealt with. It was not until many months later when Ruby went into heat for the first time since meeting him that she could no longer hide her feelings for Ashton. After she, and the other seven servants, confessed their feelings for Ashton, their master eventually chose Ruby to be his bride. But due to her strong bonds with her 'sisters', Ruby agreed to let them share her lover. In time, all eight servants became pregnant with Ashton's children.

Ruby gave birth to the first of Ashton's children two months later, a healthy Riolu boy that she named "Lucash". And a year later, she and Ashton were wed. Despite her new role as Lady Crimson, Ruby still had a habit of speaking to her former superiors with honorifics. And while Ashton did indeed love his eight servants equally, it is a safe assumption that Ruby was his personal favorite. Ruby lived a very long life with the man she loved, dying only a few years before him from an illness.

Lucash, the firstborn child to Ashton Redford Crimson, developed a very strong friendship with his half-brother Atlas, who was born from Ashton's Zangoose lover, Zandria. Along with Atlas, Lucash enrolled at the academy for squires in Rohta to become a knight like his father. The two brothers even promised to not graduate unless they were knighted together, a promise they fulfilled. While Atlas preferred his own claws over man-made weapons, Lucash felt a sword that could be held in both hands suited him best. To this effect, his father bestowed upon him the legendary Kusanagi, a gift he had received from the emperor of the Far East. The light blade was a perfect match for the swift and agile Lucario. Lucash and Atlas were later placed in command of a special unit of knights that were charged with hunting bandits and criminals that enslaved or subjugated Pokemon. Under the leadership of the two brothers, and the occasional aid of their father, the unit seldom suffered casualties, if any.

Lucash later resigned from knighthood in his later years and even returned the Kusanagi to his father on his deathbed as he no longer needed it. It is unknown what became of Lucash after the demise of his father.
