"W-What do you mean, 'w-we're closing down!?'"

The words rang across the room.

There were no 'Mons around them, just a Dragonair and a tiny Jolteon in the café.

"Unnnhhh..." The Jolteon slowly opened his eyes and looked around. He was lying...not on his bed, but on the couch?

"W-Wha- U-Ughh..." Raiken tried to stand up but as soon as he did, pulses of pain was flushed onto his head. A sensation he was too familiar with, after working night shifts at the café.

The Jolteon looked around. Nobody was around. Even Ignis. They must've went out together.

"I-I hate you, Akumu..." The Jolteon blushed and caressed his own cheeks, hoping he would feel better. A voice in his head chuckled instead.

"Oh, I thought you were the one who wanted to 'experience' the feeling?" The voice said innocently, shrugging. "It's not my fault somemon bit off more than he could chew, and now he's begging for more."

"S-Shut up!" The Jolteon blushed even more as he stood up and walked over to open the window, letting sunlight shine directly inside the room and on him so a shadow would form.

His shadow, interestingly, moved by itself and is now standing upright behind him, quadruped however.

"Better now?"

"Much better." The shadow seemed to stretch itself lazily, exhaling soundly. "You still don't like me taking over you?"

"N-Not if I need to work..." The Jolteon sighed, shaking his head. "A-And not when I'm meeting new people! T-That's a big no-no!"

"Fine," He grinned, caressing Raiken's cheek. "Only if I can see your cute face~"

"P-Perv!" Raiken swatted the shadow, but his paw passed right through it.

"Heheh, I was just kidding." The shadow shrugged again, the crystal on his forehead shining a bright black.

"He's doing something again." Both of them noticed, and the shadow was the first to speak up. "Probably fuckin' killin' other 'Mons."

"A-Akumu..." He started tearing up.

"Don't cry," Akumu closed the Jolteon's eyes. "You have other things to worry about."

"...L-Like?"

"Dee woke me up earlier, and he said that whoever employs you might have a word with you."

"M-Master?" Rai tilted his head, confused. "B-But, he doesn't show up often...what does he have to do with me?"

"He said something about the café."

"T-Then I better hurry then!"
