It's been a while since I've posted something up huh? Well regardless, I really wanted to post this up mainly to brag about how awesome my comeback with this person was. Again, much like last time I posted up my response to an unsatisfied person, I am not trying to start a conflict with them (hence why I smudged their username) , I merely wanted to show off what I wrote.ΒCause when it comes down to digimon, IT'S ON! Keeping in mind of course that I'm NOT normally the kind of person who smack talks others just cause they have a difference in opinion than me, but NO ONE disses digimon. It's one of my BIGGEST fandoms that I will go crazy about andΒ I shall defend it in all it's glory.
That and, seriously? Did this person even WATCH digimon? *scratches head like crazy in irritation* Gaaaah! Stupid ignorance!
I don't know, what do you guys think? Any other digimon fans out there? ^^

Digimon fans who aren't necessarily fans of Pokemon know at least a bit about pokemon. You can hardly escape it sometimes. Plus Pokemon's consistency and simplicity (which could be good or bad depending on the person) means it's easier to get into and easier to 'get'.
For certain ones, Pokemon fans who aren't fans of Digimon know near nothing about Digimon. I've seen some wild assumptions from people who never seen the series or seen maybe a bit of it before brushing it off (I've seen people say that Digimon cannot exist in the human world). And due to the varied and more plot based structure of Digimon it might be harder for some others to get into, as I've seen people say that Digimon was confusing for them.

The only people i've seen shit on Digimon are always the ones that have never watched it.
Not to mention, more than half of them barely have a clue about Pokemon in the first place.
A good example is all the people on the Digimon vs Pokemon Deathbattle screaming "Charizard isn't a Dragon"

You know what I find kinda odd? How the pokemon fans are fighting with the digimon fans but not the yu-gi-oh ones. I mean hear me out :
children with creatures
battles with monsters
can only play 6 monster on the field = can only cary 6 creatures
sell cards based off the show
cards = pokeballs
mascots :Β little kuriboh = pikachu
god cards = god pokemon
star chips /Β locator cardsΒ = badges
tournaments
both there creatures can't talk (while digimon can)
both have catchphrases: it's time to dual / time to get your game on = gotta catch them all (while digimon does not)
Granted since I've seen both shows I KNOW they're nothing alike, but if both sides fought the same way they do with pokemon vs digimon I totally would of thought they would. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I thought those two had more simular traits than pokemon with digimon.

As For Mega Evolution thing, It came out in Generation 6 while Digimon's own mega evolution comes out in 1999 THEREFORE, Game Freak is ripping Bandai Namco off.

It's not that I don't "like" pokemon itself I just don't like how people think digimon is nothing but a rip off and make false assumptions and diss about a show I truly loved (so it's actually some of the fans that I don't like). True I may of totally burned this person, but I was doing it with knowledge and not pure hate and insults. ... like that mario13245 guy. 
In fact, believe it or not, I was one of those nerdy kids who went to cons and competed in the card game tournaments to win "badges". Yeah... I was that kid. And who didn't love those gameboy games when they came out? Heck I must of owned every single color gameboy when they came out. I even had one of those REALLY old bulky block ones. XD Granted I stopped playing those games after they added contests and puffs(?) but before all that they were the bomb!
As for the show... yeah as a kid I watched a few but looking at it now... eh, I'd just rather not. It's not god awful or anything like that it's just... I don't know. I liked Misty but she's no longer hanging out with ash (and neither is brock who was also fun to watch), REALLY didn't care for contests, and the new characters I just could never get attached to. Maybe I'm just too old school but I just don't care for where it's heading. As for digimon... OMG DIGIMON TRI LOOKS SO TOTALLY FLIPPING AH-MAY-ZAAAAH!!! XD

lol you thought I'd over react or something based off of your last comments? Look you don't like digimon, and that's cool. Sides it's not like I hate pokemon itself (in fact I used to watch the first generation as a kid, play the gameboy games before that whole contest and puff thing, and go to cons and play in pokemon card game tournaments and win pin on badges) but I just don't care for some of the fans within the fandom who hate digimon and spew a bunch of crap when they themselves don't know ANYTHING about it. But if I recall correctly you seemed to know a bit, so I actually wasn't all that mad. I even learned a little bit and got a good chuckle out of it. So you like pokemon more than digimon, who cares? i agree with this one the story from digimon is original(every season was very different) instead pokemon's story is a bit same theme again and again in every episode well.maybe pokemon first than digimon (1 year interval) but i think pokemon was out of creativity about the story (since the theme was about "catch em all , be the best" in every season) and becuase i read the comment(your opinion about that) in the screenshot, now i get it why it seem similar at "mega evolution" soo... digimon win (sorry for bad explain my reaction about this
