Into the forest you may go
Following tracks in the woods, go slow
Plants and trees loom dark and near
So stay on the path, my darling, my dear
For monsters and fairies swell in the woods
And people and critters up to no good
The greenwood holds secrets, old and new
And ghosts whisper from the shadows to you
The tall trees bend close, the plant life creeps near
Stick close to the path, stay wary, my dear
The moss beds look cozy, so fragrant and deep
But if they do lure you, forever you'll sleep
