I completely splurged on this color-wise, trying out a coloring method called ambient occlusion, as well as a more 'sunlight' feel. Hopefully that was pulled off. This was a lot of fun to color. :>Considering Tex is an actual pirate, in all these years, I have utterly failed to draw him as a pirate. Sad, really--he even has a missing hand which is perfect to screw a hook onto.

Now there's a pirate people would LOVE to get pillaged by. haha I was about to say your style on Tex's face changed a bit and then I saw the description. XD You both did wonderfully on it.~ This is gorgeous, goodness. I love how you did that soft sunshine glow, it's beautiful...not as beautiful as Tex himself but still very pretty. The hook is so shiny and metallic....I want to touch it. I see he has a gun but ya know...shirtless Tex pirate sword fighting would be nice to see....maybe against Ayule pirate, I imagine him with a peg leg. lol

Also this is ironic in a way...I'm almost ashamed to admit this but I made an account on a cutesy game almost three days ago and made a Tex pirate cat. I hope you don't mind me using his name, I would have asked first but I didn't want you to know how much of a fanboy dork I am. XDD The game has no squids but I gave him an octopus as a pet too for a tiny makeshift Nona. I'm such a nerd.
