I've tried for so long to figure out how to accomplished this, but I have nothing.
I've tampered with so many settings in 3ds Max and nothing. I've come up with other weird animations but not this.

colour falloff in diffuse and refraction slot i think

This is fantastic! The only thing that I see that caught my eye was that there seems to be some sort of disturbance in the liquid in the bottom right corner. Something is kind of bouncing around in the reflection/shadow. Of course it may just be my poor graphics card, but either way I thought I'd let you know
