# About me

Sindeon is a magical kingdom in Hungary, Köveskál. It exists for the first two weeks of August every year, transforming the Káli-basin into the Lower-Empire, with the city of Sindeon in the middle of it. It is a two week summer camp for kids, where they can become whatever they want to: kings, wizards, knights.

On one hand, it is a lot like a LARP event: we dress up, have weapons and monsters. However, everything is made by the organizers (with the kid's help of course), so our own gear hardly fits in a van. The armor, clothes, and weapons you see here are different than at a usual LARP: we do not make them for ourselves, but for every kid who visits us. Nessa is the main sewing girl, and she tries to make dresses so that they can fit a small kid as well as someone taller. Silver is the 'metalsmith': he makes the wood weapons and the aluminium armor.

The weapons are used very differently than in a LARP: they have rings attached to it. The rings define how strong a weapon is, and it is part of the fight system. The fight system is based on putting rings on your finger behind your back, and trying to find out where your opponent pulled it. Having more rings - more likely you succeed.

Thank you very much! We are always busy, the next camp (focusing on orcs and assasins) will be on the 15th of March, an other one in May (elves and magicians), and the big, two week camp is coming at the end of July. So keep on watching :) (Smile)

Igazán teljesen mindegy minek nevezzük és pontosan ki minek gondolja szerintem. Nekem eleve a készítés maga a fontos, nem a viselése, így lehet nem is vagyok igazi cosplayes :D (Big Grin) bár a fotózásokat nagyon szeretem : )

Én is nagyon szeretek varrogatni, ami nehéz nálunk hogy egyrészt általában nem egy darab kell valamiből hanem több, és olyan ami kicsi vagy nagy gyerekre is jó (éljenek a fűzős ruhák :) (Smile)

Thank you for the link, I just watched to photos but I will read the text too - I am not great in German but I can understand it. I really want to start working on some jewellery, it adds a lot of details to the clothing. My orc shaman outfit had a cinnamon necklace :) (Smile)
