About myself? Well there isn't really much to tell... I have a passion for conservation and wildlife, I hope thats why my photography swings to. Yeah, I know I'm not the best but I all can hope to do is improve.
I adore Africa and it's wildlife. I have been on active conservation courses over the last two years, during a month conservation trip in Botswana I earned the equivalent of a FGASA (Field Guides Association of South Africa) Track & Sign level 1 by a getting 72% positive identifications on my tracking test. I hope I can get a life time job in conservation some day. It'll be hard and a life long commitment but if It's somthing that I love It'll be worth it.

Thought old job as a part time Falconer, I have had tremendous opportunity to photograph Birds of Prey, prehaps my true passion. A big thank you goes out to 'Gauntlet Bird of Prey, Eagle and Vulture park for letting my work there almost six years and doing some work for their site.
I will do my best to respond to all comments and feedback. After all you've done me the politeness of commenting, it's only fair I do the same.

It'll depend on how much bounce and power you want your flash e-bay would be good but Calumet would be the best first point of call...
unfortunately Flashes aren't what would called cheap there are those cheeper than others. But I'd check out the Calumet website the have a lot of good stock

So you get to work around birds? That's amazing. What do you do there? What type of park is it? Your photographs from what I've seen so far are pretty amazing.

Well we do regular flying displays with the birds every day and I always have a pocket camera on me so when I'm cleaning the aviary I'm able to gett better angles than I could through the bars of a cage. It's a gritty job, but very enjoyable, for someone like me, getting upclose with these creature is such a privilege. I have a greater respect for the natural world and it's creatures after 6 years of handling the birds.
I used as a falconer at Gauntlet Bird of Prey its a sort of sanctuary for Raptors and other predatory birds. Every since starting Uni I went to to doing voluntary work seeing as my course is preventing me form working full time. (boooo!)
Thank you for the complement, I glad you enjoy the work, couldn't do it without the bird's help! I plan to put some work in over christmas hopefully I'll have time to get some shots in then!

That's pretty cool. In an aviary how exactly do they house the birds? haha i know this sounds like a silly question but I'm working on a story that has falconers in it and don't know what anything is called when it comes to falconry. If you know could you help me?
