About the being active: deviantart declines more and more (at least in the fields I am mostly around) and I am really questioning the sense of being as present here. The reactions and interactions with my posts declined also a lot.

Yeah, it's a shame because I haven't found a better art site out there. I like Artstation, but I'm a traditional artist and as far as I can tell they pretty much deal with digital art mostly. I like the assorted styles, skill-sets, and mediums featuredΒ here.

Ah well, Artstation is the shit. I have nothing online there yet though. But let me say it's not about the medium. If you look into instagram, there are many of the most popular artists the ones doing traditional stuff.

Yeah exactly.. I am focusing more on instagram now still. dA is definitely dying out.. I am looking through my watchers and seems like around the half of them is dead.
I try to connect with my watchers now, because to me dA also was a very important part of my art life..
The good thing about dA compared to other websites is, that you don't miss anything. It's reliable.

Yeah... I knew it Β . I wouldn't call myself an artist since im not actively creating art. Art is also not relevant to my career, so I'm using DA for solely my own entertainment (also because I have a few contacts here, unactive as me to say the least). I'm not using DA as much as before because my life has gotten buiser (started my account when I was a teenager). I have the link bookmarked. I come here at times when I idle about. I feel that the period when I was really into DA has passed. I can understand that, to see DA in this current stage as an artist is a bit heartbreaking I can imagine...
Yeah, it's awesome on that part. I feel like the site hasn't changed, it' still the same. What's changed is its user baseΒ Β Β

Same here, started out here as a teenager and art-beginner.
Many have become idle here.. and dA gets swamped with shit (if you look at all the amateur overweight nudes flooding in)
