# About me
I'm a 21-year-old wannabe art-type currently studying for a BA in arts; I expect to graduate in 2012. I was born and raised in Southern California and love it dearly. My name is Finnish; my mom was born and raised in Finland. My father is an American "mutt". I'd have it no other way.I am the eldest of four. The youngest was adopted from China in 2007 and I tend to talk about her quite a bit. She's one of my greatest inspirations.
I'm also a huge Lord of the Rings and Tolkien geek, if my journal and gallery were not enough hints. Tolkien has changed my life, as cliche as that sounds. I began writing and drawing because of his influence, and now I aim to get into the film industry due to Jackson's films on his books. That must count for something. And yes, I am in love with Aragorn. His lack of reality makes no difference.
I'm a really open person and willing to talk about basically anything. Feel free to send me a note whenever you want.
Current Residence: Middle-earth. Or SoCal. Wherever my mind happens to be at the time.

Are we seeing the same thing? The link went to a blog questioning the intelligence of Americans and actually believing that all the stereotypes are true. As an American, I'm not sure what you are trying to say to me...

Yes, becase I'm from Poland and I heard a lot of stereotypes but I don't know if it's true or just stereotype so I wrote about it. But I don't want to hurt somebody. You know, there's a stereotype that Polish people are drunk and I agree with that but I do not drink by myself. I just see that people in my country do that. So I hope you didn't think that I called you fat or stupid because that wasn't the point of it.

I've never heard that stereotype, myself. The drunkeness stereotype I know of is for the Irish and Russians. I really have never heard of any Polish stereotypes, despite having a Polish friend in high school, heh!
Well, you have to remember that there are over 300 million people living in the United States. With so many people, many of them immigrated from different cultures, it's difficult to stereotype such a huge amount of people from all walks of life. It's not like, say, China, where the majority of the people there are Chinese and their families have lived in China for several 100 years, and are so more monogamous with their beliefs.
But while a huge amount (30%, IIRC) of adult Americans are obese (and genetics cannot account for that percent), there are still the 70% of us that are not. But it's often the poor traits of a country that are stereotyped, unfortunately. Probably where we get the Bible-thumping stereotype as well; we have a lot of Christians in the country, but the majority of them are not the crazy sort. XD
