# About me
I used to call myself a professional, but that's only because people paid me to tell you why you should hire the local sprinkler repair guy.
This picture is like seven years old now.

Hope this isn't creepy or anything, but I love your writing style and you're one of my favorite writers on dA. :3 First piece I read was Manic Pixie Dream Girl, and then I read everything with Komura in it because she's just fabulous. You've got great characters.
So.. Yeah. ^^ Love your writing

It's not creepy in the least, and thank you for the compliments - and better yet, thank you for the detailed compliments. Knowing specifics for what's done well and what needs work is seriously the best.
If you don't mind me asking, how'd you find MPDG in the first place?

I was searching for any kind of art on a Manic Pixie Dream Girl archetype, and your piece caught my eye and I started reading. What I liked most was the simplicity, the real dialogue and subtle humor. There's so little art that I can find on the Manic Pixie Dream.Ā

Oh, cool :>
I tend to not use DA to search for art anymore. I mean, if I find a good artist, stick to them, but I'm not going out of my way to search, since it gets a little hit-or-miss.
(I was wondering if you've read FPCK, since Komura's name shows up in the preview for every piece she's in except that one.)

Yeah, normally I don't usually read literature on dA (or on Wattpad, Fanfiction, etc.) because I'm mostly just too lazy to look for things that are my taste or not. It's not like visual art, which is sort of just bam in your face. >:3 You do brilliant, though.Ā
Oh yeah, I've read FPCK and I thought it was hilarious. XDĀ

Well yeah, I do that too. You can take in like, images all day no problem. Once you need to slow down and read something, though, that's just too much effort. It's almost like you're not really procrastinating anymore.

Oops. Were you talking about that journal already?
I kept one on the rez, too, but it's a lot shorter. I transcribed three stories told by the matriarch (I used my journalist's shorthand and rushed from her bedroom [where she sat beading and telling stories of her past]) and they're on dA. Grandma Rose's Story: One - like that. I also wrote how to pitch a tipi, a bunch of songs, some Arapaho and Cheyenne words (phonetic) and other folderol.

Yep. Both positions have to work a way through slush piles, as the saying goes.
On devART, the slush pile can overwhelm even faster. A bunch of is here.

Hahah, I barely have time to get through good stuff as it is
Most of that's just me lacking motivation to do much of anything productive sometimes, though :V

I think [nearly every day] about taking another hiatus from featuring DLDs.
One has to read the "slush piles" to find new and good work.
But I keep trying, and the other prose admin wants a break, so this would a bad time to do that.
The other admin had been working a lot longer than I have.
If you find "good stuff" [prose] with no feature, note me, okay? Only three have done that in months.

That there is now 'queued' and has your name on it as the suggester.
I like it a lot, too.
Don't step into anything painful. That's what Granny always said.

Yeah, sorry, I'm not that strong. :<

"Then I realized" it too, and am rethinking the whole thing. Sifting is such a chore, and slushpiles are huge.
Yeah. I'm not either.

That's what I'm doing here.
Thank you for your service.

I've already written (transcribed, really) fourteen 'chapters' of life on the commune (they're on dA), taken directly from a journal I kept while I was there. I was only nineteen when I went there and it shows in the writing (a hella lotta dashes and all) but as an 'artifact' of life in the late sixties, early seventies, it works. But it's damned hard to do. The ink in that journal is faded to almost nothing. Title? The True Journal of a Fake 'Communist'.
