hmm well unfortunately for you, i have tonnes!
1> How do you decide where to put the shadows?? on face, on cloths etc etc.. mine end up looking weird but i never figure out where i've got them wrong

You know what I would do? I would look at photographs and pictures of faces on the internet and see how it is shaded. I cant actually remember how I learnt this but I use references for lighting and shading a lot. Eventually you just remember and start to mould what you learn to different face shapes.
