One thing I have learned...we can walk away from our talent, but the talent never walks away from us. It's in us and can't be removed. There was a time I didn't draw or paint for many years, but when I picked up my pencil and brush again it was like coming home :) (Smile)

No, I don't have anything on YouTube. Technology seems out of my grasp sometimes and YouTube is one of those things LOL! But perhaps I will check it out and see if I can grapple with it. :) (Smile)

Lol, I know what you mean! I still haven't figured out how to use the scanner on my printer, so I have to take photos of everything! I've had the printer for about 2 years, too! :P (Lick) YouTube is DEFINATELY worth it. Lisandro Pena uploads much of his work there, if you know who he is. :) (Smile) He's also on DeviantArt.

His work is incredible!!! Have you heard of Armin Mersmann or J.D. Hillberry? I don't know who is the better artist! They all blow my mind! :) (Smile) Brian Duey and Mike Sibley are also great artists.

Yes, I know all of them and have been acquainted with them for many years now :) (Smile) I know Armin and his wife personally. They are all incredible artists. None is better than the other. Each is truly spectacular in their own ways, which is what makes art so wonderful. You may also want to look up Linda Huber. Her username is Imaginee.

Really? You are SO LUCKY! The closest I've ever been to a "famous" artist was when I was evaluated by a professional one with I was 14. Without him I probably wouldn't be drawing today. I didn't really know I was good until he told me. Come to think of it, Armin did comment on my work here on DA a while back. That was pretty neat. :) (Smile) I'll be sure to check her out. I get my breath taken away a lot when I start looking up artists. Thanks for the recommendation!

I am doing quite well. :) (Smile) Busy with life though and I have family coming to visit in a few days for a week or more.....I am itching to get back to my drawing with some regularity but that will have to wait until my house is my own again. LOL! I basically took the summer off to enjoy the break with my children and husband, so it will be good to get back to The Catalyst as well as an abstract painting I had started. :) (Smile) So how are you? Now that school has started up are you feeling the hecticness as well? btw for your drawing He Is did you use a mechanical pencil the whole way through? what size aswell?

The spam is horrible! And I am definitely getting tired of seeing it. I haven't been online in quite some time (summer vacation) and I come back to seeing the page full of spam. Not fun.

Anyway, to answer your question :D (Big Grin) Yes, I used a mechanical pencil for "He Is" and I prefer to use a mechanical pencil for all of my drawings. I'm just lazy about sharpening wooden pencils! LOL! When I get drawing I hate to be interrupted, and sharpening is one interruption I can do without. :) (Smile) I prefer using 0.5mm so I can get those small details in.

I just wanted to really make that I could get the right contrst out of a mechanical pencil, if I kind of over lay a drawing enough times.
I know how you fell, lol though I mainly just cant be bothered to get up all the time..
I tried moving the bin, though my room is too small and I would probably end up knocking it over :P (Lick)
