That's just you being used to Amy's wonderful accent. Also, any voice is better than Rose Tyler's in my opinion.

I'm sure they'll make something up to turn it around. This is the same show that justified River Song as "a Timelord and daughter of the Ponds all along, and set to destroy the Doctor".

Aw, she was all right. She seemed to grasp the essential part of travelling with the Doctor pretty well (running like hell).
It was also cool the whole mess that the she was the daughter of the 10th Doctor, the actress was the daughter of the 5th and the wife of the 10th, and the long-lost twin sister of the 11th. Ok, maybe not the last one. And, you know... she was hot, dammit.

She's cool too, she must have been like the mega-companion in her time. None of the other hundreds of companions from the original series showed up in the revival so far, anyway. I keep meaning to go watch her first episodes, see what she was like.
