Tricksterkat209 In reply to BeccaWolfy [2013-05-13 05:49:14 +0000 UTC]

Hahahaha, there are quite a few, right? It's really funny for me to read because it's interesting to know how other people see us. Puncutal-yes, most Germans are and she's spot on about the Deutsche Bahn (almost never on time..-.-)

"Germans are very efficient and love making schedules" "Instead, I find Germans to really want a purpose in everything (perhaps so they can pencil it into their schedules). So instead, something like β€œHey, let’s meet for coffee on Thursday at exactly 17.27β€³ would be the correct German response." Mhm..maybe I should start making schedules. XD

Germany is the country of insurance companies- true

Germans are cold- Finally someone who disagrees! That what bothers me most. The stereotype that we're cold and unfriendly and that we don't have a sense of humor. :/

Germans are reserved- yup, no instant besties. It takes us a while to warm up to someone.

About the beer and bread- true. I hate beer but I'd miss the bread. During one of our skype calls while my friend was in 'Murica she told me she misses our bread and once she's home it would be one of the first things she'd eat. XD

Sausages- uh, no? Once in a while, yeah, but not on a regular basis. Less true for me because I can't really stand that stuff or meat in general.

Unromantic- no. Not true and we don't all have dogs. (Who came up with that?!)

Truest "stereotype" ever: Germans love rules. There’s signs everywhere telling you what you can’t do. <- huh. We don't exactly love rules but what can you do? XD

I loved the video and that guy has another one online about the red light district and he's all like "OMG!" It's actually pretty tame, I've been there. (Reeperbahn in Hamburg.)

Haha, it's okay. Don't worry. I'm..naw, next question.
If everything goes according to plan (I doubt it) there might be a chance for me to squeeze in another trip to London this summer~
Also, I just gave in and created a tumblr..now I'm confused and had to realize that I have no idea how it works. O__O
Anyway, this month I spend so much time facepalming and going "Oh boy, I just notice this now? Like, years later? WTH?!" My own stupidity knows no bounds and surprises me at a daily basis. I also feel old because I recently listened to LP's Meteora again and started thinking about how I started listening to them. Then my jaw hit the floor and I ran around like a headless chicken mentally yelling "I was so young! I was so young! It's so long ago! AAAARGH!" So, a pretty normal day. XP
Apart from that I seem to suffer from fangirlism- I hope that goes away soon. It's ridiculous..btw, how's the job? I forgot to ask.^^"

BeccaWolfy In reply to Tricksterkat209 [2013-04-13 15:49:54 +0000 UTC]

OH MY GOSH, really?! If you do then I can go and meet up with you!
Ahh tumblr has taken over my life and I don't even have one :L the fandom side is the best because people really understand the pain of being a fangirl/fanboy
You're not stupid, everybody gets those days...you aren't the only one I know the feeling well I've gone back to listening to classic rock...the good stuff :L Finally I'm back to good music...not that the others was bad but Kansas are soooo much better XP I had a week where I went back to listening to Backstreet Boys and Westlife like I used to when I was younger It's nice to get back to that. Listening to older music brings back memories
Don't we all? I've also got some terrible fangirl symptoms myself XD Yeah the jobs great, it's also nice to be able to work in the same place as my mum because she could introduce me to people and so on It's a long story but the first couple of times I was there I got to do a lot of practical things, now I don't get to do so much because of a certain someone. To shorten it...someone had obviously tattled and now I'm not to do things because I'm under 16 (Even thought the 2 cooks are 17 with NO training whatsoever ) So I'm limited as to what I can do...not as much experience
If you would be able to go to London give me a shout and I'll be able to sort it out this end too

Tricksterkat209 In reply to BeccaWolfy [2013-04-13 17:35:38 +0000 UTC]

Hahaha, that'd be great! Still, I'm not yet sure if it's going to happen. We would need to start planning and making arrangements and everything but my friend's been kinda MIA..yeah, I'm not really happy about that.
I found a little "song" on tumblr which pretty much sums up everything I've been feeling. The lyrics went something like this "F*cuk! What is going on? what's happening? I'm so confuuuuused!" At one point or another I guess we all felt that way.
I'm not the only one? Really? How many people take years to realize that there are bonus features on a CD?! (I forgot to upload it onto my computer and when I did-6 years after the album was released- and the menu with the special features popped up I almost fell of my chair. I was torn between being amused and wanting to hit myself over the head.)
Classic rock is pretty cool! Don't get me started on the music I've been listening to when I was younger. I had horrible taste. *cough*
Then gain you're right, it is fun and brings back memories.
I don't want to be a fangirl. Those scare me to death..rabid beasts that they are! I feel slightly silly but on the other hand I wouldn't mind spending hours talking about certain things..wah. :/ (Random thoughts: My taste in music changed quite a bit over the years and I'm amazed that my fav band back then is still my fav band today..how did that happen?! O__O)

Right, that's an advantage. Meh, I hate people like that. Awful! I'm really sorry to hear that. If you find out who it was- tell me, I'll punch them for you :* (Nope, violence is not a good thing but somethimes it makes you feel better~)

Sure, you'll be the first to know! Meeting you would be really cool! It's funny that you replied today because this morning I was talking about you, hehe. How's the german coming along? Are you cursing the language yet?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

BeccaWolfy In reply to Tricksterkat209 [2013-04-14 15:25:51 +0000 UTC]

Ahh okay It will happen one day anyway...it's inevitable
You can get bonus features on a cd? Oh my gosh this is brand new information...I thought it was only on DVD's :S
Unfortunately I'm already one...but not the extreme 'I will rip out your soul in order to meet _____'....well it depends who it is :L I do like the Whovians though. On Tumblr there's all these theories and so on which I'd never have thought of...ever. It's surprising how in depth people can get about things *.*

Violence may not be the answer but sass and sarcasm may be in order :L Nahh it's no problem...not that long until I'm 16 anyway so it's okay
Really? Oh that's cool...if it's not too nosy can I ask to whom? Good things I hope XP
German's great I've done some of my GCSE work already...I had to remember 300 words that I'd written about what I did in my spare time. I know it sounds easy to you -.-' and I feel silly but it's harder when it's a new language. I've actually got to answer around 40 questions about school for an assessment task, it's going to be painful to do all that.*urghhh*
It's not the actual language itself that's frustrating but the 'joining up' (forgot the word for that :L) words that I find difficult.

I just fried my brain so excuse my English. This is going to be full of mistakes. Ha, good times.
Yup, you can get them on a CD. Usually they have this little sticker or they printed a line about it in the booklet. That CD? Nope. Nothing. You can imagine my surprise. Glad to enlighten you though.
No,no, I'm not that extreme either and some people do weird things/do weird stuff that would make me want to run for the hills. I was watching a video on youtube the other day and there was a meet&greet and they were playing a some acoustic versions of their songs. The fans were sitting really close and I started laughing hysterically because I kept thinking "I could never be famous like that. Apart from the fact that I have absolutely no talent, I'd freak out and yell 'Personal space!' if they came that close or wanted to touch me." Then i proceeded to scrunch up my face and go "Eww, those guys probably get groped every time they get close to their fans."

Jup, there are some crazy theories- no matter which fandom you're a part of. What really makes me freak out is fanfiction written about real people. That's one of the few things that make me shiver and chant "I wanna scrub my eyes with bleach." Maybe I should stop reading fanfiction..but it's a nice way to pass the time if I'm waiting for books off my must-read list to be published.

Hahaha, sass and sarcasm! I like it. Probably the better solution. You're turning 16 already..where did the time go? That makes me feel even older! ;O; ...I'm turing 22 this year...help! I still feel so immature, haha! 8And I act like it, too.)

What I've been listening to when I was younger? Ohoho..of course I'll tell you. Uhm, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera*whispers* And..other stuff. I can't really remember but it was baaaad. A bit later my taste completely changed (thank goodness) and I started listening to Linkin park and Nickleback and HIM- bands like that...or were you aksing about my fav band? I'm confused..If you were: Linkin park. I#ve been a fan for the past 9 years. Almost a decade..waaah!*cough* Sorry.

I doesn't sound easy to me. If I had to do that in french I'd fail horribly. I'd rather write stuff in English but I had years to practice and there's still so much room for improvement.
Haha, I don't know the word either but I know what you mean. Btw, I still need your address. Just pretend that I'm an owl wanting to deliver your Hogwarts Acceptance Letter. <-Don't aks about the capital letters, I have no idea. Could you ,maybe, write a note? I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to post it here for the world to see. Thankfully DA allows you to "talk" privately as well.

Ohhh that's why there's stickers on the front sometimes...I always thought it would come up on the CD Player but it never did, now I know to put it in the PC :L
I'd most probably scrub myself perfectly clean because could you imagine if they were that close and the famous person smelt bad *wrinkles nose* ewwww! XD I'd be one of those responsible fans that's internally screaming from a distance

Yeah it's just...weird. It's okay if it's actual fiction but with real people it crosses the line of stalkerish...unless that's just my opinion. But I guess we're all stalker types just not to the extreme like that Yeah I find that I read fanfiction when I still have loads of books to read *shrugs* and then my parent's give me a row for reading too much where as other peoples tell them TO read that's not fair at all -.-

Haha yup time goes by very quickly...not sure if it's a good or a bad thing sometimes :L My sister's turning 21 next month and she acts younger than me so you definitely don't have to worry

Siobhan still listens to them! And groups like Spice Girls,Steps and S Club *shudders* I've always been into some sort of rock I guess but that's just my opinion on music You've got a very good taste in music *fist bump* Nickelback I can vouch for because they're as amazing live as they are on CD. But everybody's different. For example there are people who obsess over Justin Bieber called Beliebers....they are more dangerous then the deadly fangirl species

Do you need it so we could become pen pals? That would be awesome! And I'd be able to post a scented candle to you because I know that you like them :3

Hahaha, not to be confused with the dreaded "Parental Advisory Content"..I swear, 90% of my CDs have that thing on them. It always makes me laugh like crazy because I think it would make more sense for parents to keep an eye on what their children are watching/playing than what they're listening to.
I mean..they play songs of those records on the radio but print a warning on the album cover? That doesn't make sense..I hope you know what I mean. It's like saying one thing and then doing the opposite. O.o
Hahahaha, I was cracking up the other day when they were talking about worst/weird experiences and one went: "when we were playing in asia I went shopping and this man came up to me and he couldn't really speak English so I thought he meant something different and it jsut got lost in translation. He handed me his baby and said 'Plese sign'" XDDDD Or the get usually scratches along their arms if they get close to the fans during a concert..or the singer: "I was hitting one of those big notes so I had my mouth open and this girl just shoved her fingers in my mouth. if someone would ask you how you'd react you'd probably say 'I'd punch them in the face' but when it actually happens..it's like a reset button." I was almost falling off my chair! Just because we were talking about weird fans.
Or when they were playing these songs with the fans all around and from the audience you just hear "Well, you must be used to this, right?" And he's like "Not like this..O__O" because everyone was sooo close.
Hahaha, baaad mental image. That'd be strange..

Yup, it is pretty weird. I'd quote someone from youtube on this but..noo. It's ridiculous because you're 15 so whatever I say isn't really shocking to you but I always feel like I shouldn't use some words..gah!
Hahaha, I don't read that much anymore. I just noticed that I haven't read the latest MV book. Now I'm waiting for the next one to come out in a few months so I can order both.

I still feel ooooold..sometimes. My brain goes "In 8 years you'll be 30,muahahaha!" 8 years are practically nothing! ;__;

To each their own*can't help but wrinkle her nose* Thanks!*fist bump* You should see my spotify list! It's..I don't even have words for it.
Psst, I never went to a concert..okay, I went to..two(? maybe 3) but that was because my parents wanted to go and asked me if I wanted to come with them and I just went "Yeah, sure." even though I wasn't really into the band...but it's a concert and you don't say no to convcert tickets! Live music is always..mostly..good. XD
I know! That just freaks me out! We went shopping a few weeks ago and they were talking about Bieber on the radio. Like, fans camped in front of a hotel because they were sure he was in there and even as people came and told them that he wasn't they wouldn't believe them and stayed..completely nuts.
Then my stepdad and I proceeded to talk about LP because I was watching one of their concerts the other day and at the end the singer got rid of his shirt and threw it into the crowd. ..People descented onto it like piranhas and I was giggling like a little girl and gasping out 'I wouldn't! I'd jump to the side and go 'Eww,sweaty!' What do they want to do with it? Wash it and staple it to their wall? Worse: Don't wash it and staple it to their wall? Wear it? Eeeeep, gross!

Yes..no? Maybe? Aww, I'm surprised that you remembered that! You really don't need to do that though!

The reply button doesn't seem to work..lovely. Anyway, would you mind if we move our conversation back onto DA 'cause I really don't like facebook.

What Wiki has to say about raclette:
A modern way of serving raclette involves an electric table-top grill with small pans to heat slices of raclette cheese in. Generally the grill is surmounted by a hot plate or griddle. The cheese is brought to the table sliced, accompanied by platters of boiled or steamed potatoes, other vegetables.( Comment by moi: And various other stuff. You can make pizza that way as well ) These are then mixed with potatoes and topped with cheese in the small, wedge-shaped pans that are placed under the grill to melt and brown the cheese. The accent in raclette dining is on relaxed and sociable eating and drinking, the meal often running to several hours.

That sums it up nicely, I think.
I'm pretty sure that there was other stuff I wanted to reply to but I can't remember. Sorry!

There was something I wanted to ask you but I can't remember, which is not surprising since it seems to happen a lot.
Naw, you're definitely as smart as I am, probably even smarter.^.~
Yup, next weekend a friend'll stay over and I haven't seen her in almost two years so I guess we won't be sleeping that night because we'll have a lot of catching up to do. I had my first English lesson this year (with my new/old teacher- I had her for a year..uhm, two years ago) and she remembered me and she praised me to high heavens and went "Oh, so impressive! I had to proof read your English exam!" And I basically turned red and went OMG! and silently begged for her to shut up..and later during the break my classmates all went "Oh, why is your English that good?" It was horrible, haha! T__T *hides in a corner until her complexion returns to something resembling her actual skincolor and not an unhealthy shade of red*)
Yes, I know! Now I have to wait until next year..booo! Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, I hope you'll feel better soon!

Hahaha, I was on vacation the last week and only came back a few hours ago. (We went to Hamburg for a week and it was great! I bought a beautiful scarf at a lovely market, a CD [Stonesour] and a book, which is pretty amazing [Clive Cussler, The Jungle]).
Vamp Diaries? Nope, I haven't seen the new eps, I haven't even watched the finale..I don't know, I kinda lost interest. Maybe I'll catch up later.
Wohoo, that's great! I'm awful with deadlines, too. (Besides, I never start assignments on time..I start like two days before we have to hand it in..)
The sleepover was great, we had loads of fun and it was really nice to see her again. The weekend after that I saw Rike (the au pair who came back from America a month ago) before she left for university. That night was pretty cool as well because of the,uh, Eulenfest (lots of bands play and you can buy food and stuff and blah. No idea how to explain that and I forgot the word. XDD) and I went there with her and a bunch of her friends and an AC/DC cover band was playing (they were really good). One guy from the audience agreed to come on stage and get rid of his wet clothes (it had started raining two songs prior) and while the women played bad boy boogie he stripped-I never laughed so hard in my life!
Don't worry. My birthday was fine. My aunts and my grandma came over and I saw a few friends. What did I get? I can't remember! Two shirts, jewellery, flowers and season 1 of Leverage (great series!A lot of episodes are really funny.)
Now I really need to take a nap*yawns* and listen to my new CD.(Okay, random female fangirl noises, I adore Corey Taylor. Fangirl moment over, it's safe to approach me again.)

We should It wouldn't be awkward at all if the connection would be better so I'd get more than half of what you're saying (because I spent an unholy amount of time trying to pierce everything together sso it makes sense XD)
Unfortunately I don't have time this month, maybe the next? Btw, watching Ewan McGregor in all his glory- yay for nice movies! Or..uh,good looking actors.
