Well, I didn't end up drinking... I just didn't want to.

I know what you mean though, it's always hard to get used to living somewhere new...

and I dunno... I just don't think I'm very good with academics... it feels like a waste of my time. I mean, I'm not stupid don't get me wrong. xD But I'm just... unmotivated for the whole thing...

Say, if you were motivated, what would you study? I'm aiming for a master's degree on video game design; it's my ambition to go to Florida and study there and then make my own studio xP

I'd like to be a character designer... but that's a lofty ambition... Not to mention, everyone thinks its a waste of time, and an unrealistic goal to pursue... So, there's no reason to go after it in my mind...

It's never too late!
My family doesn't want me to become a game designer, instead they want me to be a doctor or an engineer; do you think I care? I follow what I desire most for my future and they understand that. Why would you stop there just because it's what everyone thinks?

And if it's money they worry about, well, character designers may gain up to $300 with every character they make, plus the profit if you're on a game project, which would be around thousands to hundreds of thousands. And the more years of experience you have, the bigger the profits.

Ambitions can come true, you know, and, who knows, maybe if you DO become a game designer I could offer you a job on my future studio.

They just don't think it's a smart investment, since it's such a competitive market. They don't think that I'd be able to make it in that...

But eh, I dunno what I'm gonna do... I really need to think of something. People think I should hurry up and make something of my life... but *sigh* I dunno what I'm gonna do...

Heh, I dunno... I just don't see much happening in my life... I was raised to think that I'd amount to nothing though, so it's kinda hard to think anything otherwise. :/

Hopefully one day I'll get over that and my depression, and maybe be able to do something different with myself... For now. I'm just in a stagnant state of "Nothing will ever happen, so why even try".

I was raised around a bunch of drinkers and smokers, many of them never passed school and they seemed to be proud about it. None from my family ever had an academic excellence but me. I did everything myself since not even my parents were with me. I even learned english by myself, alone. They wanted me to become an engineer or, this was kinda funny, own a rooster coliseum. xD

I understand how you feel right now, I sure hope you find some inspiration and start studying, it could be the best decision you could take.
