# About me
I was born in the Angliss Hospital in my hometown near Melbourne Australia 2000. I had a normal childhood growing up next to my older brother (by 2 years) and my older sister (by 10 years). I went to a fairly average Primary School, with a small group of good, faithful friends whom I still know very well now.Unfortunately we all went to different High Schools so some began to drift but I still try to keep contact. Nothing major happened in my life until my first year at High School. My great, great Aunty passed of old age when I was in Porepunkah (next to Bright near the border of Vic and NSW) on 2nd term holiday. My Dad and uncle were trying to write things to say at the soon-to-be funeral. I was bored, sad and cold. So I went up to the dining table, grabbed a piece of paper and began writing. I can't remember what I wrote down right at this moment but apparently it was really good and meaningful. So my Dad and uncle asked me to write some more and edit it and then they took it, and asked me if I would speak at the funeral for the ending lines. It was a rhetorical question. I nodded and 5 weeks later I was standing up and looking at a bunch of old people and my main family. There was so many people I didn't know. I had to make a good impression. And I did. People were starting to cry only a sentence into my somewhat small speech, but I didn't cry. I just wore a small, hearty smile and finished. The next day my Dad asked if I had written any stories or poems that he could look at. I had a few lying around my room. I got them and gave them to him, he read through every single one of them. He told me that I was amazing and way above my age level. I told him I'll only write well if I feel like it. I told him that if I'm not in a writing mood I'm either in a drawing mood or in a 'day dreaming' mood. He asked to see some of my old sketch books. I had never seen someone so happy to see little doodles. A week after this my Dad came home from work late with this big sketch book, a lined writing book, many pencils and rubbers... and KFC. 'Sarah, your simply amazing. I think it would be silly of you not to follow the road of art and literature. I don't mind if you object or disagree, but, would you consider taking after school art classes.' I had waited for someone to tell me that since I was born, so I just ran up to him and hugged him. He gave me my art things and I tested all my new toys before dinner. When I went to bed that night I heard someone come in the door with something big and heavy. I heard them talk to my Dad and Mum, but I couldn't work out who the mystery person was. Then something struck me and I leaped out of my bed and ran down the hallway jumping over dirty washing piles to be washed and into the living room. And standing there next to my Mum and Dad was my big sister who lives in Sydney. (Shannyn is a graduated student from NIDA *National Institute of Dramatic Arts* Shan is very special to me and is very inspiring. I love her most of all and I hope that one day I will be as successful and happy as she is.) My Dad showed her all my work the following days and I gained even more encouragement. My friend Jasmin from primary school showed me this really cool site I now know as DeviantArt.com and I noticed that I really have the same kinds of interests as other people.My life is only at it's beginning, but, I will soon be entering that art school my Dad told me about and I soon hope to upload some pictures and see what other people excluding my family and classmates think of my work!
