I just looked at your gallery! You're an awesome painter, the warhammer pieces are way small and there are so many pieces!!! My husband tried getting into it, he has a space marine painting kit somewhere XD

I have been okay, working again which turns out to be important for someone who never developed any other life interests. Shamelessly enjoying the unusually mild November (which is usually the month that crushes my soul)  and the dip in gas prices that makes my commute with a truck less financially crushing. Closing my eyes tight and pretending this will last :>)

 Actually writing a bit which is surprising -  I usually find writing is the consolation for bad times - the words spill out when there is something dramatic happening - but this is more deliberate and reflective (and probably less good

Sounds like you have had an eventual interlude - marriage is a pretty big deal and can lay the foundation for so much of what matters in life. My best wishes for you!!!!!

The gas prices are definitely much appreciated ^^ I'm glad everything is going well for you enjoy the season and the holidays. Nothing wrong with that.....though I do know how you feel about a certain month crushing your soul June is that month for me. 

I've started writing a little bit, I haven't decided on if I'll be posting anything yet though, my new story is a bit......uncivilized to say the least. I do enjoy reading your pieces! Your work always speaks to me and can be related to. 

It's definitely a big step in life and I can say truthfully that I am terrified...

Have a Merry Christmas or whatever you enjoy in this final month. I think I mostly celebrate the solstice because the darkness is so depressing. All the trappings of the celebration without much resonance for the event.

i live in the great drought in southern california - did not get a single blade of wild grass on the hills this year; by now the wild mustard should be waist high but there is nothing in sight - never seen the landscape this bleak before

if we didn't steal water from northern california we would have none  to drink

had a home up there for nearly 20 years - got tired of my flatland friends sitting by the fire while i shoveled snow so they could park so i sold the place
