Discovered this gallery late...especially since we've both been here for such a long time. But I'm glad to finally get a chance to enter the hallways. Lots of fun. Iβm happy to be able to entertain. The only thing I havenβt been able to do quite right yet is the asian style Toonips.
Iβm hopefull I could get there with the new Toonips-body model in the works.

The key to cartoony "asianness" (meaning East Asia: Japan, China, Korea, etc.) is, it seems to me, the high cheekbones that lead to somewhat feline eyes, and of course the epicanthic fold. (And, perhaps, that almost all young woman from East Asia, are small breasted.) These features do not always apply to Southeast Asia (Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Burma, Laos, etc.) or South Asia (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka), and certainly not to West Asia (Afghanistan, Iran, and points west).

All of this is true anthropologicaly speaking.
My goal is tiny bit different, since the original features of what makes a Toonips girl to look Toonips like is to me equally important factor. To that end my intentions is to find suitable asian like characteristics, which would fit well to a facial morph target of the underlined Toonips animation skeletal structure. Sounds straight forward and simple enough, thatβs how I made african, caucasian and latino features. Thus far very time I have come up with a good idea for a feature, it ends up looking stale and somehow wrong. Alas, Iβm not giving up, I will find it eventually. Sculpting has helped me alot recently and Iβm confident on getting it right for the next Toonips body, which also is going to be game-engine-ready character asset.

I could not have branded them with a Toonips label, if I had not made them myself.
The only way to get what you truly need in 3D modles and renders, is to make the models yourself.
You can get pretty far with the stuff that others make for sale, but there's always something that bothers you and something not quite right or the way you'd need it.
Use a photoprogram to finalize your work, there you can play around with filthers and effects from anywhere you like!

Absolutely!
Years ago, when Daz was just surfacing, I toyed around with basically everything there was to it.
I learned that early release version well enough to understand it's limits compared to actual modeling.
From time to time I still keep my eye on their game development tool, which could very well, if developed the right way, be an equivalent to Natural motion's Endorfin, or something similar.
