Actually, that's called a microburst! 
It's a large quantity of rain falling all at once, usually causing quite the burst of wind. It certainly looks like a cyclone, though! 
I'm sorry, I do enjoy a bit of meteorology

Not me. Microbursts tend to occur in dryer areas depending on the type. I don't see a lot of weather phenomena where I live, but there certainly are rough thunderstorms!
Just last week we have 2 tornado warnings in one day

Wow! From where i live at, we have a lot of thunderstorms often. Once, we even got hit by Hurricane Sandy! We made it, but we had a blackout for 2 1/2 days.

I remember hurricane Sandy. The East coast got hit pretty bad, and tropical storms don't happen in New England often considering they're not tropical.
It was surprising to say in the least!

It indeed is! I saw the East Coast from the news and the damages where even worse than Hurricane Irene! That was the first Hurricane I had ever experience in my life! Who knows a hurricane as powerful as Sandy could wipe off more than it could?

I've never experienced a hurricane, nor a tornado. 
I'm in the mid-west, so we do see a lot of activity, however, I'm not in the tornado alley, I'm just beyond that. 
And Seeing we're landlocked, there's no chance of hurricane, only the effects of it. 
You must be quite experienced to have been through a hurricane and back!

Yeah. I always get fooled by the "eye" beacuase of the calm center from the hurricane. And once the "eye" passes, it continues. Only this time, it's even stronger! So anyways, did you ever experience an earthquake?

Luckily, most tornadoes occur around the midwest where it's mostly plains and highways. Highways have shelters like overpasses and ditches, so it's okay. 
They don't really form on bumpy terrain
