My name is Camilla! but I've always loved the name Charlie and Willow ;-;
I'm a girl who's preferring the company of myself instead of others, because then I get more freedom to explore the depths of my imagination. BUT that does NOT mean that I don't like to talk to people! A friendly "hello" is always appreciated!
I've always loved art and to take the stories from my fantasy onto a piece of paper! And then save them to hopefully one day they get shown on a screen!
Ever since I found out about SFM I've mostly made posters, but occasionally I submit a few drawings that I am most proud of!
I am planning on practicing animation in SFM in the future, but FIRST......... I need enough willpower to learn. So in the meanwhile, I make comic strips to begin with.
I am also madly interested in mythical, ancient nordic creatures!
- Nøkken or Nykken for those who don't know how to pronounce "ø" is a creature that lives in the wetlands of Scandinavia. He can turn himself into a beautiful white stallion that, once you get on his back, you'll not be able to get off again. Then he takes you to the nearest lake, jumps in, and drags you down to your deep, dark, watery grave...
- Draugen is kind of a sea monster, if you've seen pictures of him, but from what I've red; he's a man who once died at sea, but now are sailing on an old, tired boat. From fjord to fjord, he terrorize the fishermen with screams thorugh heavy fog which signlaise that bad luck will strike whoever dare to leave the bay...
- Kvernknarr is a type of creature that was maybe the size of half a man, and they had huge mouths that could bite over most things. Because of their enormous mouths; they could bite over the grindstone in mills to stop the production of flour, and made the life of mill farmers difficult. To get rid of them, one had to put boiling water in to a cauldron and then throw it at them. Even if one of them tried to catch it with its mouth, it would, of course, burn it from the inside.
These are just a few, and also my favourites of mythical creatures that people tought existed back in the days! And even better; I live right next to one of the deepest fjords in Norway! Who knows, maybe Draugen is down there...... somewhere O-o
Well, that's mostly it, I think. "Hade!" c;
OH! And I LOVE Steampunk, because it's an old-ish looking style. And I like the color purple, because, for me, it is the color of mythic and magic and wonder! and also it rhymes with my name in norwegian: Lilla - Camilla. It's silly, but I like it nonetheless ;P
