I'm studying to be an X-ray technologist...basically, I get to push the button on the x-ray machine.
The fact that you've been snowed out (in?) sounds suck-tastic. We were hoping it'd be less snowy when we got to Scotland. We were also hoping to do some driving when in England, but I dunno...snow/ice plus that fact that youse guys drive ON THE WRONG SIDE

Ive managed to get home (finally) thanks to my step dad coming to pick me up :s Apparently the snow's coming on again next week too so I really cant gaurentee you no snow for when you're here :S Rotflmfao! Lol we dont drive on the wrong side! It's you lot with your weird wrong-ways cars

Sorry to hear your weather has been so sucky...hope it's better by the time we get there. And at least you're home now! I've never seen snow before, so it would be kinda neato...but, at the same time, I don't have the clothes for cold weather. Don't need 'em in Florida...although lately it's been kinda cold and very windy.

I really really like Flamingo, it's definitely a grower! I was like "um okay..." when I first heard it, but right now it's pretty much all I can listen too, still.

I'm digging Flamingo a lot. I listen to it constantly. Because I've been to Las Vegas several times, I love the Vegas-themed tracks like "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" and "Jilted Lovers & Broken Hearts." They really translate the vibe of the city and I love how he's able to inject that into his songs. There's something about "Magdalena" that reminds me of a 1950s spaghetti western movie, too. I guess those are all favorite songs...plus "Only the Young," "Hard Enough" and "Crossfire."
Our trip to London is actually based around a concert at the O2 Academy in Islington, then another in Birmingham so at least when I'm there I'll know I've been in good company. When we were looking at tickets, I saw that Brandon was going to be there last week. So, so jealous! He hasn't made it to Florida yet...still hoping he remembers us.

Yes! I get that! I feel like, I've been for a walk in the raw desert with songs like 'Playing With Fire' and 'Hard Enough' and 'On The Floor' and then I suddenly arrive in Vegas to 'Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas' and all the songs with casino and gambling references, with that glam and kind of synthy pop. - And I've never been to Vegas!
I feel the album is split in half that way. Desert/The Vegas Strip.

He hasn't gone to Florida!? that's not right! I know he announced more USA dates recently to wrap up the tour..but I don't know about Florida.
It's different for the UK because he may play say like 20 dates in America, and 8 in the UK but because the UK is so small, 8 dates pretty much covers most people, where as 20 dates in the USA may not cover half of it! And the states are so huge that travelling between them is like me going to the other side of the UK :')

Have you seen the new video for "Only the Young"? It's VERY Vegas (to me, anyway) because it was filmed at the Cirque "O" Theater in Las Vegas at the Bellagio Hotel. I recognized it instantly. It's inspiring to see an artist who really does try to share or show fans, "Hey, this is where I'm from and I love this place!"
Last I checked, the closest he's getting to FL is about a 15hr car ride away. And flying is sooo expensive here. Not like the UK. We got CHEAP tickets from Edinburgh to London for practically nothing! Maybe the humidity is scaring him off...it might be 107 with shade that no palm tree can provide out West, but Florida is just plain HOT.

Yes, I have, it's very pretty! Loves for disco balls. Looks like quite an impressive place. It's round like Royal Albert Hall is, in fact, at first glance, I was like WHAT THEY GOT RID OF THE COOL CEILING AT ROYAL ALBERT HALL!?!?...oh oh, different place >.<
Yeah, I do like that he is proud of where he's from and shows the beauty of it behind all the gambling and sin city aura, but sometimes I feel it's a bit too much? Like he's trying all this time to prove he's a Las Vegasian (is that the right terminology? xD) because lots of people thought The Killers were English when they first started out. I think maybe he should let that go, but I guess it is a huge part of him and without he wouldn't have created the songs he does today. I guess it is a good thing then
Ouch, 15 hours, that's crazy. It doesn't take me half that long to get to the other side of the UK! haha! That could be true! I've never been to America, I would love too, though!
