It has been a while. Well, I've been in training to learn software testing so I can get this novel thing called full time employment. I have my certification, a part-time job testing software on a contractual basis, and have a great internship from Mitchell International to pad the resume. Now, I just need to find a billet that's either straight-up software testing (as opposed to software engineering) or find someone who my contact at workforce.org can convince to give me on-the-job training for equitable compensation. Aside from that, I'm co-writing fanfics with some friends. With , I'm working on a fan-sequel to the Fire Emblem - Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn duology, a series of short stories related to that sequel, and a fan-sequel to the Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask duology. With :iconelly3981, I'm working on a post-epilogue story based on Final Fantasy Tactics - War of the Lions. Do you know any of those games? Well, regardless, I'd like to know how you've been. I've heard of all of those games, but am only actually familiar with the Legend of Zelda ones.
I've always wanted to play Fire Emblem, though. I've just never owned a copy of any of the games.

I've been doing alright.
Got married in the Spring and I've been working in childcare since the start of Fall.
It's not exactly my dream job, but it'll do for now. I love kids, but since I tend to be more gentle/ soft-spoken it can be hard for me to be firm enough with them to be taken seriously when they need reprimanded.
At the very least, this job ended my 5 year 'drought' in which I was unemployed and every job I applied for would fall through one way or another... So I'm grateful for that.

My husband and I are moving from our small 2 bedroom apartment to a 4 bedroom in February so we have more room to spread out and plan for the future.
Currently, I've been sick for the past two weeks, I got a cold on my birthday that seemed to be getting better until it morphed into a sinus infection/ ear infection combo I've been dealing with all week and still seems stubborn about going away, even with antibiotics.
Thus I simply haven't been on DA as much, so I apologize for not seeing your message until now.

I can send you links to the fics, if you like. Also, for an easy entry into the Fire Emblem series, I'd suggest either Awakening or Echoes - Shadows of Valentia, as they have "Casual" mode. In classic Fire Emblem games, or in "Classic" mode in the newer ones, a unit who runs out of HP is gone forever whereas, in Casual, you get them back after the level's over. Anyhow, please let me know if you want those links.

And, wow! That is amazing. And, congratulations on your marriage. And, on your new place too. It does stink to get sick at such a time, and here's hoping you get better real soon. Anyhow, yeah, it's understandable you haven't been on DA much with all that going on, but it sounds like your reasons are all good. Here's hoping the New Year is even better.
