Unfortunately I wasn't online when you made your donation, so I didn't see it instantly and wasn't able to take the donation button off my page... So the reason the orange bar wasn't filled all the way is that *Nefarious069 didn't know that there were points donated to match.

Best of luck with getting to the target, it's good to have a proper Irish presence here. Have you thought about linking the IrelandArt deviant group with any other real or virutal sites/people, such as flickr or local camera clubs. Sometimes it feels that in Ireland we have lots of enthusiasm but lack a certain amount of organisation (not including your group obviously).

I do have a few ideas of how to better irelandART and link it with other entities... there are a couple dozen or so Irish photographers who are starting to connect virtually on Google+ one of them is trying to organise a photowalk, and I brought up irelandART, and thought there would have been a good buzz about linking up and combining forces for something like a photowalk, but much to my disappointment my comments were completely ignored. It was very disheartening, I don't understand instances like this where anything to do with irelandART seems to be shunned.

I've also had a dream for a good year or more now about us finding or even letting out a gallery location for a month and having a physical irelandART exhibition. Would be great to do this in conjunction with Culture Night in September.

But more to the point, I would love to hear any of your ideas, especially in relation to "linking irelandART with other real or virtual sites/people" ...who, how, when?

Been a while, sorry !
Might be an idea to contact Magda [link] she organises a lot of art expo's and reckon she'd be really into a cross dA / real world expo, you can tell her I said hullo
Another avenue may be camera clubs, there's so many of them about but from what I can see most of them use Flickr and promote on there, possibly due to the broad age profile of members (?)
I think a section at the peoples gallery weekend on Stephens Green (think it's usually around Aug/Sept)for IrelandART might be nice idea too.
A push (advertising/awareness) of IrelandART with NCAD if you had any contacts or Griffith College,Kevin St. and Pearse College photography course tutors/students.
A once a month photo walk, or shoot. I tend to just wander off on a Saturday or Sunday if I've time, try to find interesting places and shoot.
Also a mate of mine has a studio and is always willing to take a few people out to it to tutor them, he's excellent alternative tog.
For walks Shane's [link] big into the Urbex scene.
