I'm sure you get this all the time; I don't know why it took me til now to put it together for myself... There's a Moebius-ness to your work that is unique to you -- like you cracked the code to some very particular style of art-fantasy.

Yeah, it's weird. I didn't grow up with any Moebius comics and just kind of herd about him in passing. Like I think the only real reference I had was that scene in Crimson Tide where the guy was arguing that Kirby's Silver Surfer was better than the Moebius Silver surfer. My heaviest influence would be Otomo, admittedly, but when I first started posting my work online around 2007 I would get people saying that I had a Moebius vibe to my work, which was terribly confusing to me. I finally started looking up his work and have since become a huge fan. Apparently Otomo was heavily influenced by Moebius so I think in studying his work I was in a strange way taking in some Moebius before I had even known about his work!Β
Regardless, Moebius will always be an art god we can only aspire to being somewhere in the orbit of his talent, so if you see any of that in my work I am truly grateful! We still gotta collab on something sometime, man. Hit me up!Β

You are SO right; we have to do a THANG, sooner than later! I stepped away from commissioning for a bit, EXCEPT for this oneΒ from which I am so pleased with, that corresponded with one of my key actresses' look change... But I put off a big DMFO project because I was in a real business transition, and very unsure about money. I am coming out of that.
