i had french- hated it. i really dislike the language :,D
second option could have been russian (wich i applied for originally) buuuut not enough applied so i was forced into french

Oh gosh yeah , the French pronunciation is so difficult I'm sure I would have totally failed speaking it ^^'
Russian would have been cool but no school offered it. Like ..all schools I've visited only offered Spanish, France and Latin to be honest
(Besides English obviously. But English was never on a voluntary basis lul. I hated it back then but well now it's pretty useful I guess)

it's not difficult, or has not been to me but i just really dislike the sound of it!? :,D 
i think my issues pronouncing russian would have been more significant ( specially words with 'tr' somewhere within)
hmmmmmm are you from west germany perhaps? i think russian is more of an eastgerman thing

HAHA relatable! i hated english when i had it as a kid in school, like first to 8th grade? HATED it with a hellfire passion!
then i started to go on the internet and learned it for myself and .. well i got to where i am now, an artist talking to internationals in english on a daily basis with a husband from america...
can't say i hate the language, really :,D

Yeah I'm just happy that I'm able to understand games which haven't been translated into German / haven't got a German dub.
Because reading sub while fighting in a battle would be pretty ... difficult x"D

haha yeah, as i mentioned prior russian is more of an eastgerman thing |D
so much in fact we had a teacher in school who was teachign english .. she had a doctor title. in russian :,D
not to mention her english did sound like that :,D

We're talking english because we're on a public profile on an american website <: 
i dislike speaking anything but the universal language here ^^
i only resort to german in DMs on discord or within notes 

HAHA ah well i play most games in english anyways! i hate most dubs. guildwars two with german voices? _hell no_
i think the only game i played in german as of recent would be Fallout 4, no clue why. but then again the voicing isn't horrible.... though sometimes oddly funny? :,D

To be honest I prefer my mother tongue. I don't feel totally save with my English grammar eh ^^'

Nah if I have the choice between English and German I'll definitely choose German xD
Just because it's way easier and I never experienced any dub as horrible. At least in games haha .Only thing which is a bit ..meh ..is that in Skyrim almost every character has the same voice xD. Not sure if it's the same in English but yeah.
But well English is ok too.

Also when I said I never experienced a horrible dub at least in games I spoke of a few anime I know..it's really just a few like 5 of 170 but still...I know some bad dubs. I still won't switch to Japanese haha but still. And if I say a dub is bad that means it really is bad. I'm actually a dub supporter so ...🙈
Also the English dub of JoJo (if you are into anime) ..that was funny 😂

Allerdings hält sich das gut in Grenzen

Adventure Time hab ich selbst nicht gesehen beziehungsweise ich kenne nur die 2 folgen mit Marshall Lee weil ich mal fanart von dem gesehen hab und wissen wollte wer das ist xD

haha well i like two gameseries done by Bethesda (Elderscrolls and Fallout, with FO being my top fav series generally)
while liking some EA games they are often stuffed with issues ( and here we are crying about Bethesda only doing halfassed stuff while AE causes just as much shit xD )
so i somewhat check wich developer was in charge from time to time you .. can predict what you might get if doing so xP

hmm back when i was still watching anime i guess the german dub was not too bad, the problem starts if you want to compare it to the english one wich generally is more emotional and expressive
even moreso the japanese one ( buuuuuuut i don't like japanese so that's that |D )
but what really sucked in german back then was the censoreship :,D 
but kudos to the creativity on how to exchange the word killing or dying... xD

Und beim japanischen ist mein Problem dass ich die männlichen stimmen oft als viel zu tief empfinde und die der Frauen oft als zu hoch , aber das ist wohl Gewohnheitssache, ansonsten machen die schon nen guten Job, nur verstehe ich halt kein japanisch ne? XD

Ja von der Zensur hab ich auch schon gehört. Aber naja das waren dann die Sachen die in meiner Kindheit auf RTL2 liefen und die wolltens halt unnötig kinderfreundlich x"D

Ich meine unnötige Zensur gibt's zwar immernoch ab und an aber das hat dann nichts mit der Tonspur zu tun...nein wirklich manchmal Check ich nicht was die Publisher sich denken. Online unzensiert aber auf der DVD ne Zensur drauf packen , und das bei nem Anime ab ..16...aber genau das selbe auch im englischen Sprachraum 🤦🏻‍♀️
Überall wird sich über Zensur beschwert xD
