It depends. For some prompts, I write original content, others I can think of some fanfic-ish that satisfies the prompt. For example, for two Christmas themed stories, I wrote about the moments preceding M!Robin and Lucina's reunion after the events of Fire Emblem Awakening. But, most of the content is original. I suspect I'll post them, first, on Google Docs to see if I can attract people I know to read and critique them, and then post the ones the pass muster here. Please let me know if you like the sound of that, and thanks.

I'm glad. I was told that the SAO games are a separate timeline from the LNs/anime and Alicization Lycoris coming out in May/June will be the latest installment. It will follow the events of the LNs up until the Quinella battle before breaking off and becoming an original story line. There's also going to be a new OC that's not in the original story too, her name is Medina Orthananos.Β

Yeah, I'm ok. I haven't left my house in over 3 days but will tomorrow since I have to go shopping for essentials. Since I can't leave the house much, I suppose I will have more time to work on my fics as well as my homework for my art classes. I'm afraid the Anime Expo will be canceled this year and hope I will get my money back for the ticket if it has been. Right now, its almost like all of CA is under martial law though I doubt the police is going to start stopping and arresting people for being outside for non-essential reasons, at least not yet.
The SAO games are in chronological order. There are currently 5 SAO games with Alicization Lycoris being the latest one. Its an alternate re-telling of the Alicization arc that will follow the events of the light novels/anime with a few differences up until the Quinella battle before breaking off into an original storyline. As far as I know, the biggest differences from the original with be the addition of the OC, Medina and the fact that both Kirito and Eugeo will live and stay in commission.Β
The chronology of the games follow as Hollow Fragment, Lost Song, Hollow Realization and Fatal Bullet. Accel World vs SAO, while borrowing the setting of what we call the βSAO Gameverseβ, is not really a part of the Gameverse Canon itself and acts as a standalone title, that is recommended to play after Lost Song, if you ever feel like playing it.
Something that needs to be added however, is that the Gameverse starts at the end of the Aincrad Arc during Kirito and Heathcliff duel on Floor 75. Due to certain events, players remain in Aincrad and need to clear the remaining 25 Floors, thus creating a completely separate continuity. So, at the very least, familiarity with the Aincrad Arc is required to start Hollow Fragment.

So far, the biggest thing I've had to worry about is boredom. Since my church, my office, my gym, and my library (where that drop-in writing group I told you about meets) are all closed, there's really nowhere to go. I've been working remotely, running down leads on potential readers for my writer's club stories, playing SAO: Hollow Realization, and...well, that's kinda it. I was bummed that WonderCon was cancelled as well, but at least I got my money back.
I'm not sure how many of the SAO games I plan on playing. But, if Alicization Lycoris gets a Switch version, I am so getting that one. I rather like the idea of Kirito and Eugeo staying in commission. So, that happens in BOTH the light novels and the games?
I'll consider that. On a different note, one Switch game I'm keen to get is Trials of Mana. It is a, very much, belated Western release of the game Secret of Mana 2, also known as Seiken Densetsu 3. Translated versions of the SNES original have been available via emulator for ages. Have you heard of it?
I was able to gather that, since it was mentioned in SAO: Hollow Realization that Leafa and Sinon both became trapped in the game well after the launch date. I'm kinda curious about the circumstances of that. As yet, I have most of the Progressive SAO light novels, but haven't decided which to get next. I'm home all the time now but since I've gone back to school, I don't have to worry about being bored because I got homework to do. I'm also watching the walkthrough of the SAO games starting with the first one, Hallow Fragment. Leefa and Sinon get trapped in Aincrad and meet up with Kirito and the others there.Β They have to spend the game completing the last 25 floors before they can get out, unlike the LN/anime.
Unfortunately, Eugeo dies and Kirito becomes a brain dead vegetable for a while in the LN version of Alicization. In the PS4 game, they will both live and stay in commission and there's going to be a new gameverse original girl named Medina. The game will follow the plot of the LN/anime with some differences until the Kirito/Eugeo S32 duel before breaking off into an original storyline. It hasn't been confirmed if Lycoris will be on the Switch yet but it will definitely be avaliable on Ps4.
I played the SNES version of SoM back in the 90s. I haven't tried the remake yet.
There is a manga adaptation of Alicization Lycoris, told mostly from Eugeo's POV while the game is from Kirito's POV. So far, one chapter has been translated to English.

Yeah, I played the original SoM way back when too. But, I'm actually asking about its sequel that never reached the states. Maybe this'll help clarify things:

I think you should play Hallow Fragment, the first SAO game to find out. I don't wanna spoil it for you 
I knew SoM had a sequel but never had the chance to play it. I saw the SoM remake and watched my brother play it a bit. FF7 is going to have an awesome remake too and Alicization Lycoris is expected to be the best SAO game to date.Β

I'm honestly not sure when, or if, I'll play Hollow Fragment, given the ever-congested state of my gaming queue. I'll consider whether to spoil it for myself. In the meantime, fingers crossed for Alicization Lycoris coming to the Switch.
Just out of high school, I played SoM2 a ton of times via emulator, and this remake does look tempting. Given the fiasco that was WarCraft 3 Reforged, and comparable complaints about the remakes for Resident Evil 2 and 3, I have some leeriness about modern remakes, including the one for Final Fantasy VII. But, by all accounts, Trials of Mana, the SoM2 remake, has little to no censorship, which is a promising sign.
