Blues of the WildebeestAs was planned, Ayen and Shajaea met at the appointed place that they had chosen the day before, waiting for their third party member to arrive. The Desert mare pawed at the ground impatiently, and the stallion looked around, trying to detect any sign of the small mare.
Finally, a touch of blue-ish purple and pink appeared at the corner of his eye.
Casiamea Vitea huffed as she stopped in front of the other two.
βHuff, sorry, I forgot the exact spot we were supposed to meet-β She started, but was interrupted by Shajaea emitting a low guttural growl.
βYou made us waste time!β She exclaimed.
Ayen put himself between the two mares. βCa-calm do-down, Shajaea, we-we sti-ill have time.β
The Desert mare snorted angrily and turned on her heels without a word, knowing full well he was right but still being frustrated.
βThanks for standing up for me.β Cassi smiled shyly at the tall Ballator in front of her.

Show your stripesAyen cantered alone in a deserted area of Africa, his hooves barely making a sound as they hit the sand beneath him. He decided to hunt, and had wanted to be accompanied by his mate or friends, but they and their owners had other plans at the moment, so he told himself he would do it alone this time. He sighed dejectedly, but kept the pace until he reached a small stream, which he drank from, and immediately went under the shade of a tree.
Now, he had to choose. Zebra or Wildebeest.
But as he sat and started to ponder, he heard muttering from the other side of the tree. He got up and went to investigate.
Right in front of him was a Bay Roan Taffy African mare struggling to untangle her leg from a root. She bit at the offending plant, but to no avail. She snorted.
The Desert stallion approached cautiously.
The mare looked up, hanging her head shyly.
βDo...you need help?β He offered.
A beat of silence.
βY...yes please.β
Ayen quickly nibbled the root and helped her
