Found the book βThe Sequoia Lives Onβ you illustrated while visiting Yosemite National Park, the book cover grabbed my attention, flipped the pages in 2 seconds and bought it right then and there.
While in the parking lot I searched to find out more about your work and saw you had DeviantArt page, and since I have one here I am, awesome lovely illustrations, light on the eye and yet very dense with details, love them!

Hi! I just came here due to dA's Facebook Page. I've read your story and I loved It, you gave me the inspiration I needed to draw again. I have a little question: You said many times to draw "out of our confort zone", which I think its a pretty good advice, And I just would love to see some of your pieces made using that rule, just to watch what could come up. ah thanks!! ;; Glad you read through all that- I didn't expect them to use everything I wrote LOL!
one example is when I first started trying environments, and then architecture in 2012 starting with "Village" and "Shoreline" in my gallery. Before that, Ive never tried to paint purely environment shots/visdev stuff in my life... and so then painting "tideland village" and "within the peak" were literally torture, as my first structures/architecture pieces, but I forced through it. And once you get through what you find difficult/impossible to draw once, you'll find a jump in improvement the next time you try again. good luck!!!Β
