Hi! So sorry for the super late reply. I got sooo busy with work and some printing jobs.Β
Anyway, the first time I saw RWBY was on 9GAG. Someone posted Ruby's promotional video (with werewolves). I was amazed by that, and so I did a little searching on Rooster Teeth. I have not gone beyond 2nd episode yet, but I did download all four promotional vids. Β When your mom said you were into RWBY, I totally got it
Tips? I'll need to browse through your gallery if you don't mind, so I can gauge what it is that you need to work on. Honestly, I'm no expert on art teaching because I've no formal training, but I always like sharing my methods if it will help other people.
(Just saw some of your pieces) Well you certainly got your body proportions correct. I think you just need to find comfort in detailing, like hair strands, wrinkles on the clothes, glare in the eyes. Β For the manga style, I learned by looking through the galleries of, for example, Kaze-Hime (warning: jawdropping). I got a bit insecure by her immense talent but yeah, you have to start from somewhere. Β Then there's Stanley Lau or Artgerm and chesterocampo . Chester's Pinoy who is involved with Imagine FX.
My point basically is, do reference a lot.
On Dec. 23 my family and I will be at Sip and Gogh Eastwood at 2:00 pm (hope to meet Ivan there, too). If you're not doing anything, maybe you'd like to meet up so I can show you some of my works (Tell Mam Cathy
